Meet the Team

Shannon, Owner/Operator

Originally from Michigan, Shannon grew up on a small horse farm where animals were always a central part of her daily experience. She learned very early the joy that spending time with farm animals can bring to their human counterparts.

As an adult and a mother, Shannon enjoyed finding new and interesting experiences for her family. Through this, she learned that some of the most memorable times were those where there weren't crowds, and the family could connect and enjoy the time they spent together without interruption.

As a Long Term Care Case Manager, she saw firsthand how important role animals played in the well-being of those people that loved them. The connection had a positive impact on people's health and quality of life.

The desire to take these personal experiences and create a place that could be all of that in one began to take on the shape of a small hobby farm where the space could be shaped into just that!

Wildlife and Conservation

The farm isn't just for farm animals. We welcome an array of wildlife that call the PNW home.

We are very lucky to often get wild visitors to the farm. Whether its birds of all kinds, water fowl, or elk. There are always opportunities to see how our farm can also support wildlife in harmony with farm life.

We are working hard to bring back native plant life that is an important part of the Pacific NorthWest ecosystem.

Our pond area in the front of the farm will be replanted with flowering and fruit producing plants that support pollinators, birds, small mammals, waterfowl, amphibians and reptiles.

Trees will replanted in our forest area that offer nutrition and better enrichment for the soil. Invasive species and overcrowded scrub brush will slowly be removed.

This will be an ongoing effort and we are excited about the opportunity to be a small part of the bigger picture of conservation in the PNW.
